Managers should have the ability to control a group of people and lead them to achieve a common goal. Exciting managerial career opportunities exist in the constantly evolving business world.

This course focuses on developing the management skills relevant to a number of real-life work situations and the core skills required to manage and oversee the work of others.

The Diploma of Management will provide graduates with the skills to perform managerial functions including strategic planning, setting objectives, controlling finances, developing efficient operations, managing the market, developing information systems and understanding human resources.

A key component of ASBM is that all students will undertake 140 work placement hours in a business enterprise as part of this course.

PATHWAYS TO A HIGHER DEGREE

Students who successfully complete a Diploma in the business or management stream will be eligible for advanced standing into a Bachelor of Business at a higher education provider.

Award Requirements

To be eligible for the Diploma of management, a candidate shall complete all of the four (4) course subjects listed.

Credit Transfer

Students who wish to have their AQF qualification and/or Statement of Attainment recognised must submit the documentary evidence before enrolment to the Admissions Department. Once the enrolment has been accepted, no further exemptions will be granted. Further details are available from the Admissions Department.
